Editorial policy
Coastal Spotlight aims to make coastal subjects clear, accurate and useful without overstating what an article can establish. Readers should be able to see the difference between explanation, interpretation and material created with a partner.
Accuracy and independence
We check factual statements against suitable published material and review names, terms and descriptions for clarity. Articles are edited for fair context and readable reasoning. Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements; a partnership does not determine our conclusions.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We assess correction requests, make changes when warranted and clarify substantial amendments in the article. A clear explanation or reference helps us review the point.
Partner material
Content produced with a partner, or carrying a commercial relationship, is labelled so readers can recognise that relationship. Partner placements are kept distinct from independent editorial coverage, and labels do not imply that Coastal Spotlight endorses a product or service.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Where relevant, captions or accompanying text identify illustrative imagery; it should not be mistaken for documentary evidence of a real place or event.
